(63.5 x 40.5cm.), 28¾in. (73cm.) high.
A Victorian oak cased three bottle tantalus with three matching cut glass decanters, bevelled mirror back plate, the case brass bound with spandrels and strapwork, lidded box front containing five later cut glass tumblers and drawer beneath with cribbage boards, good square form cast brass handles, Bramah lock, 15 x 11in. (38 x 28cm.), 13in. (33cm.) high. Condition: Decanter to left has a 10mm chip to everted rim, cenralised decanter has a 5mm flake chip to upper side of everted rim, all decanters have minor chips to shoulders and base corners comensurate with being removed from tantalus, frotn roof of oak case has some minor wear again small chips where decanters have rubbbed from being removed, handle indentationsleft side of interior glass holding compartment has been replacedwith unvarnished piece, some evaporation spotting to upper section of mirrored back plate, 13mm chip to the reverse side of bevelled base, minute chips to front of base corners
A Victorian walnut games table, with shaped edge, backgammon, cribbage and checkerboard, with frieze drawer, wooden bag beneath and scroll and foliate carved legs. Width 27 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This table is in first class condition. The top is flat and of good colour. The interior games surface is also in very good order. The piece has clearly been professionally restored in recent years and is ready to either use or resell without the need for any further repairs or restoration. The only really minor visible repair is across the backgammon playing surface where a crack has been rectified. This should be visible from our image. The piece is structurally extremely solid.
