An antique 19th Century Victorian Nautical themed oak cased games compendium box of square cabinet form having a bronze ships wheel to top with inset ivory and ebony cribbage board & score counter. The sides set with a series of faux and functional drawers that open on each fascia. All raised on a plinth base. Comprises a jacks / knucklebones game, dice, ivory counters, box wood dice roller, bone and ebony dominos, various coloured counters, draughts and chess set (contents unchecked for completeness). The box originally having a central opening mechanism using the ships wheel however is now inert. An unusual antique set.

A Grenadier Guards trench art cribbage board of brass on a hardwood base, inscribed with the regiments Battle Honours starting with Tangier 1680 through to 1939. Having an applied brass cap badge. And having superb carved wooden figures of Guardsmen wearing busbys and in battledress as pegs. Inscribed to two brass plaques on the underside it reads: Pioneer Serjeant 1949 14499603 E Bennett. The board is 34.5cms (13.5ins) by 10cms (4ins) high, with the pegs being 4cms (1.625ins) high

A Victorian walnut and Florentine marquetry turnover top combined games and worktable, with backgammon, cribbage and chessboard surface. Width 65 cm, depth 40 cm, height 68.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is in generally good condition. The top is a good colour with no significant issues or veneer losses. It is not warped. The hinges are original. The gaming surfaces are in good order with no splits or fractures to the playing areas of any note. The veneers to the sides of the backgammon board have stress fractures along the joins and both the left and right hand sides. The swivel mechanism operates as it should. The frieze is in good condition all round. The frieze drawer and sliding bag are both a little stiff. The bag itself is in good order. All legs are in good condition as is the stretcher. We can see no evidence of any woodworm. The table may originally have had castors.
