Two 18th Century style dresses from the Cunninghame Graham (of Gartmore) family, worn by Jean Cunninghame Graham (later Lady Jane Polwarth) with the tops altered as dresses for her debut in 1945. The first of white Chinese silk, possibly late 19th Century, decorated with red, yellow and green flowers with a matching clutch bag. The second of heavy green silk fabric decorated with silver thread ferns and floral motifs, fabric late 19th/early 20th Century, again with matching clutch.
