A George III Ebony Veneered Striking Table Clock, signed John Kentish Junr, London, circa 1770, inverted bell top with a carrying handle, glazed side panels, pull repeat cord, front door with a brass frame border and bezel, circular enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and signed to the centre, twin fusee movement with a verge escapement and striking on a bell, movement backplate engraved with scroll work and a central basket of flowers, 47cm high over handle see illustration 23.02.17, Case with surface scratches in parts, brass surfaces are discoloured, urn finials are later, front door is bowed and the brass frame is lifting away from the case carcass, front door with small cracks, later feet, front and back glasses with scratches, damage to the inner brass dial surround, dial edges with chips above 12, at 3, between 6 & 7 and at 9, one hairline crack between 9 & 10, movement plates are dirty and needs cleaning, both barrel mainsprings are winding smoothly, strike is working, in going order.

An Oak Chiming Table Clock, signed Russells, Maker To The Queen, Liverpool, circa 1890, caddied top with carved swag recessed panels, carved Corinthian columns, pierced side frets, 7-inch brass dial elaborately engraved with flower heads throughout, silvered Roman numeral chapter ring, silvered plaque signed below 12, three dials for chime/silent, fast/slow and Whittington/Westminster chime selections, triple chain fusee movement with an anchor escapement, quarter chiming with eight hammers striking a nest of eight bells or four hammers striking four gongs and striking a larger gong for the hours, movement secured in with brackets, 64cm high, with a later rosewood wall bracket, 52cm high see illustration 23.02.17, Case is faded in parts, top urn finial with chips and dent marks, side frets with some pieces lacking, some small cracks and chips, Corinthian capitals with chips, small cracks to both sides, base with small dents to the edges in parts, silvered dials are slightly discoloured in parts, movement is complete, chime is working, later wall bracket.
