In words as shocking now as they were forty years ago, it reads, “Will the Shah Leave Iran The Shah of Iran is expected to leave the country shortly, possibly never to return. If he does abdicate he will leave behind him a land torn by social and political unrest. His fall from power would however be made considerably less painful by virtue of the fact that he has one of the largest personal fortunes in the world”.
