GB Used Abroad - Lima: 1872 April 14 envelope from Lima to London, the 1s6d rate prepaid by a 6d mauve (plate 9) and a 1s green (plate 5), the Peruvian postal tax prepaid by a 1d(inero) yellow-green (SG20), each tied by the "C38" vertical oval numeral of the Callao office, backstamped with a BPO Callao dispatch cds and a London arrival cds for 13th May. A few peripheral faults as is the nature of these very delicate envelopes used in the Cowper correspondence, nevertheless an attractive combination franking
