ASSISI. 1877.22,2 × 37,4 cm.Provenienz:Schweizer Privatbesitz.Federico del Campo gilt in der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts als der bekannteste Maler für venezianische Ansichten. Zunächst als Assistent an der Akademie von Leonardo Barbieri (1818–1896) in Lima tätig, ermöglichte ihm im Alter von 30 Jahren, der Mäzen, Senior Goyneche, eine Reise nach Europa.Bei Lorenzo Valles (1830–1910) studierte Del Campo in Madrid und reiste von dort weiter nach Italien. Die grösste Werkgruppe in Del Campos Œuvre stellen die venezianischen Ansichten dar, die unter anderem als Erinnerungsstücke an wohlhabende Touristen dienten. In den 1880er-Jahren malte Del Campo zudem auf Capri und 1887 wagte er sich bis in den Süden Siziliens. Nebst venezianischen Stadtansichten, galt sein Interesse auch der Figurenmalerei, die er stets mit einem hohen Mass an technischer Meisterschaft in seinen Kompositionen umsetzte, wie auch vorliegende Darstellung virtuos zum Ausdruck bringt. AMERIKA -Kerret, René de.Album de mon voyage. Skizzenalbum mit 62 Original-Zeichnungen (inkl. Titelblatt). Davon 22 ankoloriert bzw. weissgehöht.Titelblatt datiert 1854, die Zeichnungen 1852-1855. Quer-4°. (Blattgrösse jeweils 20,6 x 27,5 cm). Halbleder d. Z. mit Rückenvergoldung und Deckeltitel (etwas berieben).René de Kerret (1833-1989), ein französischer Marineoffizier, nahm als Zeichner an einer Reise der französischen Fregatte "La Forte" nach Südamerika teil. - Bei den vorliegenden Skizzen, die nur teilweise und sparsam koloriert wurden, handelt es ich möglicherweise um Vorstudien zu seinem eigentlichen Reisealbum, das erst 2004 publiziert wurde und sich auch dem weiteren Reiseweg der Expedition widmet: Journal de mes voyages autour du monde (de 1852 a 1855), Saint-Thonan 2004. - Die erste Zeichnung dokumentiert die Abfahrt des kleinen Verbandes, zu dem die La Forte gehörte, in Brest am 2. Dezember 1852. Im Januar 1853 hält de Kerret die "Place du Palais" in Rio de Janeiro fest, im März liegt man auf Reede vor Valparaiso. Ausführlich widmet sich der Zeichner den Städten Lima und Guayaquil sowie dem Landesinneren von Ecuador, das intensiv bereist wurde. Von hohem Quellenwert dürften die Darstellungen von indigenen Stämmen und ihren Siedlungen, Bräuchen, Festen etc. sein. - Die Tafeln hs. nummeriert 1-61 und 12bis, jeweils im Unterrand bezeichnet und datiert. - Etwas gebräunt und teils leicht staubrandig, insgesamt aber von sehr guter Erhaltung. - Eigenh. Besitzvermerk de Kerrets auf Innendeckel.

What a wonderful lady with such depth and I know how keen you were for me to meet before our tour got underway and I quite see why..." Lucia went on to become one of Princess's closest personal friends and confidantes and it is clear from this letter how highly she regarded her: "I wanted an excuse to write(!) and just wanted to say what a huge impact Lucia made in my life..."

Diana, Princess of Wales, The Letters Collection 1990-1997The Princess of Wales, signed letter dated October 26th 1993 on two sheets of her personal cream and burgundy Kensington Palace notepaper, three sides. Together with typed letter from the Brazilian Ambassador, Paulo Tarso Flecha De Lima, informing him that the Brazilian Government was bestowing an award upon him, the 'Ordem Nacional do Cruzeiro do Sul'. Also a typed letter of congratulation upon the award, from the Queen's personal secretary Sir Robert Fellows on Buckingham Palace headed notepaper.The Princess's letter thanks Roger effusively for lunch at the Festival Hall. On this occasion they were joined by the Brazilian Ambassador and his wife Lucia and both the Princes William and Harry. "The boys were thrilled to be included in such adult conversation!" This was a particularly notable occasion as Prince William performed his first ever investiture and presented Roger with the O Cruz do Sul. Diana wrote "A memory never to be erased was seeing you receive your gong - A first for William and yourself!" A particularly joyous letter detailing an historic moment for the young Prince and future King.

Nameplate and Badge. THE SCOTTISH HOSTELLER ex British Railways class 37 diesel locomotive built by the English Electric company in 1965 and numbered D6997, renumbered in 1974 to 37297 and 37420 in 1985. Delivered new to 86A Ebbw Junction and later to Inverness where it was named at Inverness station in June 1986, nameplates removed in May 2000. Rectangular cast aluminium in as removed condition measures 73in x 9.75in and badge 13in x 8.5in. Together with a Lima 00 Limited edition model of the locomotive with certificate in mint boxed condition.

Ofelia Andrades M 'Blanquita' Artist's Cat, 2021 Graphite on Paper Signed verso 15 x 10cm (5¾ x 3¾ in.) Ofelia Andrades was born on September 29th, 1982 in Santiago, Chile. From 1984 to 1992 she lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From an early age Ofelia attended art workshops where she learned the different techniques of painting and drawing, with particular emphasis on oil painting. She started to paint with oils at the age of ten years Old.   Education   She began her professional studies at the Experimental Art School (1997-2000) where she obtained a technical degree in Visual Arts with a major in painting and graphics. Ofelia later obtained a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts with a painting emphasis (2003-2007) at the University of Chile where she was finally granted the title of professional painter in 2010. Between 2012 and 2014 she lives in London, United Kingdom. Back in Chile she fund ""El taller de Ofelia"" workshop to teach ancient to Contemporary painting techniques.
