Three photographs of the Uruguay team at 1927 South American Football Championship in Peru, b&w studies, the first taken in a suburb of Lima before a pre-tournament friendly and dated 18th October; two further shots taken outside Hotel San Miguel, Lima, one showing players such as Scarone, Greco and Anselto at the entrance, the other, matted, of directors, referee and players, both photographs annotated and including details of the five teams who took part. This, the eleventh edition of the South American Championship, took place in Lima, Peru from 30th October to 27th November 1927. It was used as a qualifier for the 1928 Olympic Games and the participating teams were Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Uruguay (Brazil were among those who withdrew) and the tournament was won by Argentina.
