GEE & HOLMES; an Elizabeth II hallmarked silver canteen of cutlery decorated in the King's pattern, comprising two serving spoons, six dessert spoons, six soup spoons, six dinner forks, six dessert forks, twelve teaspoons, six solid fish knives and forks, a silver handled knife sharpener, a silver handled carving set, and twelve assorted silver handled knives, Sheffield 1960/61, approx weight 87ozt/2745g, fitted in a walnut canteen.Additional InformationGenerally in good condition, a couple of the a larger forks with slight bending to the prongs, tarnishing, wear but we believe that this set has seen very little use, the case with minor nicks and knocks. This lot is hallmarked for silver and the weight given does not include the knives.

A Georgian 18th century and Victorian 19th century matching set of hallmarked silver flatware cutlery, all having palmette and foliate motifs to the stem and handles and the majority having initials engraved at the terminals. The set is comprising of a Georgian serving spoon dated to 1786, London, the maker being WE, a Georgian dessert spoon dated to 1827 and the maker being William Chawner. Together with two dessert forks hallmarked for Elizabeth and John Eaten, 1861, London, a serving spoon hallmarked for John and Henry Lias, London, 1844 and a set of two dinner forks hallmarked for Chawner & Co, 1872 and an unmarked serving spoon. Measures 22cm in length. Total weight 791g.
