Ships Binnacle by Kelvin Hughes Highly polished brass ships binnacle with varnished pedestal base. The binnacle housing has two brackets which hold iron compensating balls. The varnished base has brass trim and nameplates. Inside is a Kelvin Bottomley and Baird Limited of Glasgow and London gimbaled compass. Dimensions: 49" tall by 26" wide.

Solid Brass Ships Binnacle from US Navy Battleship Massive ships binnacle constructed of very heavy brass with gimbaled compass, hood with hinged window and protective door, brackets which hold the iron compensating balls, and chart case fixed to the back. This is a beautiful highly polished heavy unit and was a focal point of our clients collection. The base is 24" diameter and the overall height of 53".
Bench Made English Library Globe Bench made English library globe with French polished stand fitted with a compass at its base. Gores read Cary's New Territories Globe delineated from the best authorities extant. Exhibiting the different tracks of Captain Cook and the new discoveries made by him. This custom bench was made in England in the twentieth century. Overall dimensions: 16" diameter x 38" tall.
Rare Negus Yacht Binnacle Solid brass balloon top yacht binnacle on pedestal base. Fitted with twin oil burners, gimbaled compass by E.S. Ritchie & Sons. Compass card is marked USLHS which stands for United States Light House Service. Serial number 43569 is engraved into the bezel. Pedestal is fitted with a wood base. Vented burners have handles and resevoir tanks. Dimensions: 29" x 13"

Sudbury and Humble, c.1615, 14.5 x 19.75in. (37 x 50cm.). * Condition: Some noticeable foxing to the corners on both sides. Top left verso very heavily foxed - almost uniformly browned. Wrinkling to the paper across the surface due to damp. The two sheets joined verso with laid paper strip which is well matched. No rips, tears or holes to paper.
