A pair of 19th century Customs & Excise brass wing compasses, by DRING & FAGE, also stamped 'Customs', with steel arms and wing and chamfered brass stock, 9in. (23cm.) long; together with a large pair of polished steel compass dividers, 17½in. (44.5cm.) long; and a pair of steel wing dividers, 9½in. (24cm.) long. (3) * Condition: - Customs compasses: Some rust pitting and a little surface rust to steel parts. Brass stock in good condition.- Large steel compass: Some surface rust pitting throughout. Currently very stiff and hard to open.- Steel wing dividers: In good condition, with a little light surface rust. Wing nut adjuster works well.

BROWN COMPASS STOCKBOOK housing a collection from Hong Kong, Iceland, GB, Newfoundland, St Helena, and Canada. The Hong Kong section contains superb fine used copies of the Postal Fiscals SG 10, 11, plus various mint and used definitive ranges. The 1948 RSW $10 is present fine used. Iceland contains mint and used issues 1876 to 1959, nothing of real consequence noted. Canada and Newfoundland are both reasonably represented with some nice mint blocks of 4 from Canada.
