WW2 Astro Compass MK.II RAF/RCAF, Original astro compass as used by aircrews during WW2. This example if of Canadian Manufacture and attributed to a RAF serviceman, W/O R.T.Dyer who was a navigator on Lancasters with 576 SQN RAF. Having trained in Canada its likely this piece may well have come back with him. The condition is hard to improve on, very nice box with the stencilling of ‘Astro Compass MK.II’ with the store ref number and ‘Canada’. The compass itself is in very nice condition with little wear and the painted numerical numbers are clear.
