A George V silver novelty case realistically cast as a Cello, the hinged back chased with putti, the front with scrolling foliage, ETB, London, 1926 with Import mark, 1.25 ozt together with a 19th Century cylindrical filigree pin tube and an Asian silver bracelet with reticulated band terminating with dragons heads with the centre set with large purple facet cut glass stone (3)
TWO MEISSEN MONKEY BAND FIGURES comprising a trumpet player and a cello player, two female examples, one playing the harp, the other with a music book, together with eight matching band figures and seven other figures, sizes from 10cm to 17cm (19) Condition Report: Meissen. trumpet player trumpet broken(we have pieces), one toe chipped left foot, small chips to jacket. cello player - buttons to one side of neck broken of. Neck of cello broken and restuck, chip to end of bow and on back of jacket. harp player - missing most of harp, one big toe badly restored. music book woman - missing fingers to both hands, chips to base and to the ruffles on arms of dress. . Band (scissor mark) . clarinet player - clarinet broken and restored. Sousaphone player - arm holding horn broken off but we have. Other arm missing. trumpet player - intact, gilt rubbed. cello player - end of cello missing, end of bow broken and restuck. drum player - intact, some black missing under feather on hat. violin player - bow restored, otherwise ok. bagpipe player - intact. oboe player - feather on turban restored, gilt rubbed, otherwise ok. . Smaller figures. woman green dress - Arm, book and feet restored, marked R to base. woman pink dress - left arm restored, chips to bonnet, frills and base. purple coat - hands and arms restored crack to wig, . sousaphone player - chips to back of instrument, marked R to base. Oboe player -instrument broken at both ends and restored, feather on turban restored, pseudo crossed sword mark. larger female - one foot restored, chips to other foot, thumb restored, chips to cuffs. Conductor pink coat - missing baton, one hand off but we have it.
A Cello, length of back 76 cm, circa 1900. CONDITION REPORT: There is a bow measuring just under 72 cm. The bow has no makers stamp. There is only a canvas carry bag. Within the bag there is a spare tuning key. The cello has no makers mark or label. There are signs of old repairs throughout, confirmed by traces of old glue. Looking directly at the cello there are scuff marks and old repairs on the top right hand corner along with a 5 cm split. The left hand top side has also been bashed and the varnish has flaked. The bottom left hand side has had a restoration. On the bottom right hand side there is a small piece missing from the edge of the body and also just opposite the F hole. It has a two piece back. This would require careful restoration before being playable. The cello has a very thin band of purfling.
ELO USED MATHIAS NEUNER ANTIQUE CELLO. An antique cello by Mathias Neuner V (1832-1890) Mittenwald, Germany. Owned and used by Mike Edwards of ELO. Bears an ER Voigt & Sons label. Used on many recordings, gigs and appearances. Provenance to include: a signed letter from his brother detailing that the cello was passed on from Mike Edwards' father to Mike, a quantity of photographs showing Edwards with the instrument, a VHS with a recording of an ELO performance of 'Roll Over Beethoven', a copy of 'Beat Instrumental' magazine from 1972 with feature on Edwards in which he mentions the cello, a Star Monthly magazine showing Edwards on cover with the instrument. String length - approx 90cm.
Student cello labelled ' Made in the Workshop of Andreas Leller, Romania for Stentor Music Co. Ltd. ', together with a bow and soft case CONDITION REPORT Condition as shown in photos. Various scuffs and scratches from use. There is a metal bar going through it. This is not a full size cello.

A 19th century ebonised and hand painted cello case of angular form. The hinged front opening to reveal a red plush lined interior, the case with good brass swing handles and hook catches decorated profusely with winged angels climbing the strings to centre with praying angels to the base and a full drape inscribed with latin across the centre.
