George IV, in his capacity as Prince Regent, congratulates King Ferdinand I for the birth of his grandson, Carlo Ferdinando, son of future King Francis I, and states `We received with joy Y.M letters, by which we learned that the Spanish Infanta Maria Isabel, Crown Princess of both Sicilies, and beloved daughter in law and granddaughter of Y.M, gave birth to a Prince, whose name is Carlo Ferdinando…´. George IV signs beneath the signing formula, which bears also at the heading `In the name and Vice-King´. Countersigned Castlereagh at the foot. With blank integral leaf.
