A collection of JF Henderson ceramics, to include, a Carlton Ware jug, 20cm, another jug, a spill vase with a balloon lady dated 1934 to base, and a part tea set (4). Provenance: Jeanette Francis Henderson (née McEwan), born in 1863 in Uttar Pradesh, India where her father was working. The family returned to Scotland and they lived in a house called Luggie Bank, near Cumbernauld, later bought by a local newspaper as their office in late 1970s. Family history goes that she studied at Glasgow School of Art and was a contemporary of Margaret McDonald MacIntosh and friends with Sir William Burrell.

Together with a Carlton Ware ginger jar in chinoiserie design with pagodas, figures, lake and trees. 27cm high approx.
