Musical Automaton Organ Grinder by Gustave Vichy, c. 1880 With rare bisque character head modeled as a man with open-closed mouth and two rows of painted teeth, moulded moustache, incised lines, brown paperweight eyes, shaded eyelids and feathered brows, standing behind a model barrel organ with brass pipe aperture, the going-barrel movement inside playing two airs as the figure cranks the organ, looks from side to side and nods his head left and right as though watching the miniature dolls dance on the top, elegantlydressed in raspberry satin tailcoat with blue waistcoat, lace jabot, bowtie and matching hat trimmed with silk tassels, on velvet-covered base, height 24 in. Mit seltenem Charakterkopf aus Biskuitporzellan, darstellend einen Mann mit offen/geschlossenem Mund, gemalten Zähnen, modelliertem Schnauzbart, Mimikfalten, braunen Paperweight-Augen, schattierten Augenlidern und gefiederten Augenbrauen hinter einer Drehorgel-Attrappe. Elegant gekleidet mit himbeerfarbenem Frack, blauer Weste, Spitzenjabot, Schleife und passendem Hut mit Seidenquasten, Auf mit Samt überzogenem Sockel, Gesamthöhe 61 cm. Im Gehäuse der Drehorgel verborgenes Federwerk für das Walzenspielwerk (2 Melodien) und die Bewegungen. Der Orgelspieler dreht die Kurbel, schaut zu beiden Seiten und nickt dabei den kleinen Puppen beim Tanz auf der Orgel zu. Panelled entrance, first floor hall way and staircase, family chapel with altar, study with library, lumber room, kitchen with sink and stove, bathroom with ceramic basins and tub, water closet and shower, dining room with Art-Nouveau furniture, salon with baroque furniture and silk wall-covering, nursery, bedroom, dressing room. - Exclusive furnishing and fittings: miniature oil paintings (some signed and dated), finely carved furniture, porcelain tableware, accessories made of filigree soft-metal, small sculptures, bird cage, mirrors, painted ceilings in the salon, chapel and dining room, velvet curtains, blankets and many more details. 2 bisque head dolls with glass eyes and 2 bisque head dolls: doll`s house gentleman and chef.
