A presentation silver regimental salver, The King's Royal Rifle Corps, by The Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company, London 1915, circular form, gadroon border, the centre with the regimental badge and with five facsimile signatures, on four claw and ball feet, diameter 25.3cm, approx. weight 19.9oz. Provenance: a Private Collection of Regimental Silver. The signatures are of five young officers, who were attached to the King's Royal Rifles in 1915/16 on a course of instruction, and on leaving, presented this salver to the Officers Mess. The signatures are Hal Verelst, (Coldstream Guards), killed in action September 1916 at the Battle of Lesboeufs. Arthur F. Smith, (Coldstream Guards) went on to be Chief of Staff, Army headquarters, India. Charles Loyd, (Coldstream Guards), Chief of Staff to Lord Alanbrooke and ADC General to King George VI. H.A. Sutherland (Black Watch) went on to be Deputy Lieutenant of Peeblesshire, and John Noel, (King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry) taken prisoner and held at Stalag IV-DTorgau Prisoner of War Campnear Leipzig.

No5 Squadron Royal Air Force Barrel Caddy, finely made wooden barrel with deep carving in the form of the squadron badge for No5 Army Co-Operation Squadron to the front. Lid pulls off to reveal aluminium lining to the interior. Small area of wood missing from the reverse of the stand but otherwise good condition. No5 Squadron was formed in 1913, the squadron is noted as holding the first loss and kill for the Royal Flying Corps. The squadron served in India during WW2.

An original Cold War era circa 1950's West German Police shako helmet along with a pair of later period East German Army leather ' Jack ' boots. The helmet of black fibre construction with front and rear peaks. A central white metal starburst badge having the Hanover state insignia below a tri-colour painted cockade. Retaining the original chinstrap and aluminium mounts. The boots size 28 in unworn condition.

Khaki wool construction with button hole and H.M.G.C white metal badge denoting Heavy Section Machine Gun Corps. The Heavy Branch of the MGC was the first to use tanks in combat and was subsequently turned into the Tank Corps, later called the Royal Tank Regiment.
WWII & Post-WWII Second World War Medal group awarded to one 14472116 Sergeant Wallace John Chapman of 9 Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers. The medal group comprising; WWII Defence Medal, WWII War Medal, QEII General Service Medal with Canal Zone & Cyprus clasps, Suez Canal Zone medal, and National Service Medal 1939-1960. Also includes: his Allied Special Forces medal and Cadet Forces Medal ( both not in frame). Along with the official set of miniatures. All with original ribbons. Also includes a duplicate General Service Medal, Defence Medal and War Medal mounted on bar (these medals are presumed to be his 'wearing' set, whilst the framed set are his 'display' set). Personal effects from Chapman include his Soldier's Service & Pay Book, his Regular Army Certificate Of Service, boxes for some of the medals in the frame, his original George VI cap badged maroon Airborne uniform beret with parachute badge, and a later beret with George VI cap badge, and an Airborne related teddy bear in typical uniform. A hallmarked silver Masonic medal and another similar example (not silver) are also included. Consigned from family. Chapman served in the Gloucester Home Guard from 1943 until he became of age, when he then signed up to the General Service Corps in August 1945. For his work in the Home Guard he was issued the Defence Medal, and for his Army work he was awarded the War Medal. He saw active service in the Suez Canal Zone from 1951-53. His Certificate of Service shows he was discharged on 22nd August 1957.

Issued for wear by Chinese labourers working for the British Army during The First World War to free troops for front line duty by performing support work and manual labour. Measures approx 3.5cm.
