A Second Word War RAF Guinea Pig Club badge, that of RAF Navigator S M Lee, together with a fibre identity disc, glass dish, facsimile photographs and a copy of Edward Bishop's McIndoe's Army, the story of the Guinea Pig Club and its indomitable members, in which Lee is mentioned. Arthur Stuart Myles Lee, known as Stuart M Lee, born 1920 Dublin, moved to Forfar, Scotland, 1930, educated at Edinburgh, joined the RAF in spring 1940 aged 19, after initial training posted to squadron based at Oban tasked with submarine hunting in Atlantic, went on to serve in Mediterranean, on one occasion crashed in Western Desert, set off on foot and discovered with crew 10 miles from Cairo several days later, while serving with 511 Squadron was involved in aircraft accident in southern England in which he was catapulted through the front window of the plane, subsequently treated at Victoria Hospital East Grinstead by Dr McIndoe, after recovery was posted to 24 Squadron, was involved in ferrying cash to occupied territories and judges to Nuremburg trials, enjoyed recounting tale of taking Churchill abroad and Churchill relieving himself against the plane's undercarriage, post-War trained as a Dentist, died 1985

C.), officially impressed, unmounted; together with a FAMILY TRIO OF POLICE MEDALS awarded to his father, POLICE CONSTABLE F. COLES, comprising Jubilee (Police) Medal 1897, Metropolitan Police (P.C. F. Coles. S. Divn.), engraved, Coronation (Police) Medal 1902, Metropolitan Police, bronze (P.C. F. Coles. S. Div.), engraved, and Coronation (Police) Medal 1911, Metropolitan Police (P.C. F. Coles.), engraved; also a Northamptonshire Regiment bi-metallic cap badge; and an Army Air Corps white metal cap badge. Note: R/13416 Rifleman A.E. Coles, 8th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps, the son of Fred and Annie Coles of Enmore, Bridgwater (Somerset), died on 16th June 1916, at the age of 20. He is buried with honour at Maroeuil British Cemetery.

WW2 Polish Officers Side Cap of khaki cloth with silvered Polish eagle buttons to the front, single rank star to the side and cast brass screw back Polish army cap badge. Cap badge has a screw back fitting with the backing plate being a Palestinian coin. Cap retains all of its stiffening and remains in very good condition.

WW2 Polish Armoured Corps Officers Beret, standard black wartime beret with screw back silvered Polish army cap badge. Underneath the badge is a single star and two rank bars in bullion wire. Beret shows some wear and the date and makers marks have been worn away. Some fading to the black cloth. Beret is typical wartime construction with leather trim and leather backing to side eyelets. Good untouched example.

WW2 Polish 3rd Carpathian Division Officers Service Dress Tunic, being a fine khaki four pocket Polish style tailored service dress tunic with plain green felt and black edge collar badges, two bullion rank stars to the shoulder boards, white metal Gaunt & Son tunic buttons.  To the arms are woven POLAND nationality titles, one arm has a theatre made eight army formation sign and the other arm a fine quality theatre made 3rd Carpathian division formation sign. Breast pocket has a 3rd Carpathian division 800 silver metal screw back badge with the original screw nut fitting having F M LORIOLI MILANO ROMA makers mark. Medal ribbons for Virtuti Militari and Cross of Valour medals. Tunic remains with just light service wear.
