Rare Imperial Russian Adrian Pattern Steel Combat Helmet, standard Adrian pattern helmet but with the double headed eagle badge of the Imperial Russian army to the front. The helmet has a thick brown/green paint finish to the exterior and interior of the shell, not the normal light brown colour you see on Imperial Russian helmets. Interior of the helmet retains the leather liner and chinstrap. Some light areas of paint loss to the exterior where the original Horizon blue paint can be seen. Possibly re-painted in the immediate Tsar period. Original Russian Adrian pattern helmets are very scarce.
Army Dental Corps Officers Coloured Field Service Cap, good example of an early officers coloured field service cap with small type gilt metal kings crown badge. Green top section with blue lower part with maroon border. Gilt metal regimental buttons to the front. Officers quality lining to the interior with Austin Reed Ltd tailors label.
Selection of Steel Helmets and Headdress, consisting of a Dutch Army steel combat helmet retaining the original paint finish, Rampant lion badge to the front and yellow band to lower section of the shell. Interior retains the original liner system and chinstrap. Accompanied by a Swedish steel combat helmet with the original liner; reproduction WW2 Luftwaffe paratroopers helmet, another post war Military helmet and a foul weather sheeps wool cap believed to be of Scandinavian origin. Rare WW1 Women’s Legion / Army Service Corps Drivers Full Uniform, interesting private purchase female tunic of khaki wool, open collar with three button front and two lower large pockets. Shoulders with embroidered Womens Legion MD shoulder titles. Short shoulder boards with embroidered 2 WL and brass ASC shoulder title. Central belt with two general service buttons. Cloth lining to the interior with inked name D J Wolton and D Wolton. Accompanied by matching long skirt with large pocket. Skirt is also named D Wolton. Accompanied by a scarce khaki large style female drivers cap fitted with brass ASC cap badge. Black cloth lining to the interior with Dunhills Ltd tailors label. Peak of the cap has the same stitching style as the WW1 denim trench caps. Women from the Women’s Legion were drafted into the Army Service Corps as drivers for the RAF and Army in 1917 and 1918.

1932 PROGRAMME SERVICES - EGYPT Very scarce programme, The Army v The Royal Air Force, 8/4/1932 at National Sporting Club, Gezira, Egypt. Army team included players from Kings Own, South Staffords, 14th/20th Hussars and R.H.A whilst the Air Force included players from 45 Squadron, 208 Sqn, 6 Sqn and 14 Sqn plus RAF Depot and HQ. The referee was from the Egyptian FA but all other participants were British. Scarce item. Also included is a postcard team group of the RAF team, a Royal Air Force Middle east Association Football cloth Shirt/Blazer badge and a full match report of the game in which the RAF triumphed 5-2.
