STAR WARS : A NEW HOPE (EPISODE IV) (1977) - A UK quad film poster - Style C 'Non-Awards' version - Tom Chantrell artwork - This is the 'Pre-Oscar Version' produced before the movie had won 7 Oscars - When George Lucas, Gary Kurtz & the Studio Executives realised just how successful this movie was likely to become their marketing strategy had to be re-assessed - The original Jung & Hildebrand posters, although iconic and artistic, were not really that commercial in terms of characterisation - Tom Chantrell was drafted in and produced this new look, all-action, bolder, brighter looking poster - Luke, Leia, and Han Solo all bear and incredible likeness to their screen counterparts & the Star Wars merchandising phenomena was born - 30" x 40" - condition issues include some paper loss, some fold separation and some staining to the rear which just shows through in certain places. However this would make a perfect candidate for restoration and linen backing as generally the colours are vibrant and sharp, please see photographs - folded (1 in lot)

A rare Luther bible illustrated with woodcut by Lucas Cranach the Younger published in Leipzig, 1541. Estate of Jeremy Bulloch - Star Wars Return Of The Jedi (1983) - two reels of believed unseen behind the scenes test footage from the movie. The footage was shot in Redwood Forest, Northern California on 25th November 1981 and shows Ewoks setting up for scenes and test photography. The reels are accompanied by a note from Maureen Bulloch (Jeremy's Wife) which reads: These film reels show test footage taken by Robert Watts and his team in the Redwood Forest in Northern California on 25th November 1981. Many frames show Ewoks setting up scenes and test photography. The Ewoks can be seen without their heads on showing many of the actors taking part. These reels were given to Jeremy Bulloch by Robert Watts (Jeremy's Brother) many years ago and have sat in a box ever since. These are unique items from the production of Return Of The Jedi and would have been personally handled by Robert Watts, Richard Marquand and George Lucas. These come with an order form from Rank Laboratories who would have processed the film. It is referred to as Chapter III - Revenge Of The Jedi (the original title for the movie). These have not been fully viewed while in the possession of Jeremy Bulloch' It is believed that this footage is unseen 'newly discovered' footage, although we are unable to guarantee this. We have been unable to find this footage in any online databases or official release relating to the franchise. Footage exists from April 1982, but these reels pre-date this by five months. A truly unique lot from Bulloch's estate, and a very special piece of Star Wars history.
