A part service of mainly Edwardian silver Old English pattern flatware, by D & J Welby, London, comprising:- eighteen three tined table forks (12 x 1906, 6 x 1905); sixteen matching dessert forks (11 x 1906, 5 x 1959); eleven dessert spoons, 1906; twelve table spoons, 1906; together with a pair of George IV Old English pattern sauce ladles by Jonathan Hayne, London 1824; and twelve pairs of Victorian thread and shell pattern dessert knives and forks with silver blades and hollow handles by Harrison Brothers & Howson (Henry Harrison), Sheffield 1892, 114oz (without the dessert set) (83) Welby silver all in good condition, sauce ladles in good condition, 1 dessert knife needs its blade resetting, dessert forks are all good
An Edwardian silver Stilton scoop, hallmarked London 1905, maker's mark of William Hutton & Sons Ltd Together with a Victorian silver crumb scoop, hallmarked Sheffield 1899, maker's mark of George Howson. The former 20.5 cms long; the latter 33 cm long. (2) CONDITION REPORTS: Approximately 3 troy ounces and 8 troy ounces respectively. Both generally in good condition with expected wear.
A pair of small Adam style silver candle holders, Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield 1897 (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both sconces are in good condition. Both urns are also in very good order. Both candlesticks do however have small perforations to the top of the small square beneath the urn. One candlestick has three holes, the other four. All are tiny. The remainder of the bases are in good order.
