All links marked for silver. Also, a silver Vesta case and fob/medal. Hallmarked Chester 1897. Movement signed John Forrest of London serial No. 75032. Chronometer maker to the Admiralty . Top watch maker, all pieces excellent condition.

Ross, Exeter, with blued-steel spade hands, the mahogany case with canted corners, curved base, cross-banding to the trunk door and an octagonal surround to the hood, height 126cmBiography Daniel Ross is recorded as working as a chronometer and watchmaker at 31, High Street, Exeter, just below St. Stephen's church, from circa 1837 and is still known to be working in 1863. He supplied a turret clock to Old Blundell's, Tiverton in circa 1842 and another for St. Mark's in Dawlish. A watch signed Ross, High Street, Exeter is on display in Exeter Museum. Reference Clive N. It has a 4" silvered dial, subsidiary dials, convex glass, and is contained in a mahogany case with brass straps. Winding key present.Dimensions: 6½" x 6" x 6½".Condition: Good condition. Winding key and case key present.Litherland, Davies & Co. were working at 47 Brownlow Hill, Liverpool in 1816, they had moved to Church Street by 1822. In 1839 they moved to Bold Street.
