Grade: F-VF - Fine to Very Fine details, a clear and eye-catching example of a mint error with a few unusual dot indentations along the overstrike edges.

Two ikat panelsCentral Asia, 19th centuryThe first with repeating lozenge panels interspersed with rising yellow trident, the second with multiple crimson, yellow and aubergine bands of ewers, floral and geometric motifs, backed with a printed textile with a repeating pattern composed of a serrated leaf and a flower bearing the stamp of Ivan Garelin and Sons, the Factory of the Partnership of Manufactures in Ivanovo, and another reading "Russie" in Latin and Cyrillic characters, remnant of paper fragments reading "Partnership of manufactures..." and showing a coat of arms possibly that of Valdimir Oblast188 x 139cm. and 188 x 171cm. (2) 

A ceremonial damascened watered steel trident,Qajar Iran, 19th century,The floral gold inlaid and facetted shaft tapering to a bulb, each side blade with wavy edge, the central blade straight, each with reinforced tip, the forte engraved with dense floral decoration under rising palmettes, the roundel inscribed in Arabic,55cm. high  Condition Report: The steel is lightly stained and pitted. It shows scattered and very light superficial corrosion. The damascening is strong overall. this lot is in very good condition.

QUEEN VICTORIA AND H.R.H. THE PRINCE CONSORT / TRAVELLED FROM LEITH TO LONDON IN THIS VESSEL IN 1842 / THE ORIGINAL GUN CARRIAGE WAS DESTROYED DURING THE BOMBING OF LONDON IN 1941 -- 17 x 40in. (43 x 101.5cm)The Honourable Company of Master Mariners; Presented by the General Steam Navigation Company in 1949.David Kahnweiler (1828-1898) was born in Bavaria and known to be in Pennsylvania in 1861, by 1880 he was established in New York with the US Federal Census recording him living at E. 57th St NY listed as a 'Life Preserver Manufacturer'. This lot is very similar to the Lyle 'Type C' line throwing cannon adopted by the US life-saving service in 1878 suggesting it's of a similar vintage. The connection to P.S. Trident seems tenuous as she was removed from the Register in 1878.good overall condition

1975 Triumph 985cc Trident T160 HydeRegistration no. MFM 477PFrame no. T160 EK04313Engine no. T160 EK04313Norman Hyde was involved in the design and development of the Trident and their legendary racing efforts. Employed in the Experimental Department overseen by Doug Hele, Hyde later went on to build a business in the supply of spares and tuning parts for the threes, developing 850cc and 1000cc conversions which can supply power on a par with some Japanese rivals. Introduced to the public in April 1969, the T150 gained a five-speed gearbox in 1972, and in 1975 the T160 appeared, sporting an electric-start facility.The owner of MFM 477P, a 1975 model, purchased the machine in 1977 from Bill Smith Motors Ltd. in Chester (original invoice on file). The mileage from new is only 14,565. In 1987, at a mileage of 10,700, the vendor fitted a Norman Hyde 1,000cc conversion, a Lucas Rita electronic ignition system and twin front disc brakes. Following the conversion, the Trident was used sparingly for some years, until being laid up for a period in dry conditions. Awakened from storage, MFM has recently had oil and filters changed, an L P Williams oil tank anti-drain valve (it is recommended that the standard ball and spring are removed on fitting this, which was done, and the original ball and spring are included with the bike). It also had a new battery. Included with the bike is the original cylinder barrel and pistons. Only light re-commissioning and safety checks should be required.
