A FIRST WORLD WAR SUBMARINER`S SWEETHEART BROOCH, modelled in 9ct. gold in the form of a B-Class submarine, the reverse stamped with registration number `643143`, pin and safety chain -- 2in. (5cm.) diameter, Built by Vickers between 1904 and 1906, the class was almost obsolete by the time war started, however B11 managed to sink the Turkish Messudieh at her moorings in late 1914 and five more were sent to the Meditteranean in 1915 where, for lack of spares, they were converted by the Italian navy yard at Venice to surface patrol boats (one sinking before completion) and were sold at Malta in 1919.
AN EARLY VICTORIAN SHIP WRECK COMMEMORATIVE GLASS TUMBLER, to commemorate the collision and sinking of the Governor Fenner in 1841, engraved with the Governor Fenner and the paddle steamer The Nottingham, with further naively engraved monogram and dated July 14th 1842, height 11cm. Note: The Governor Fenner was used as an emigrant ship and left Liverpool on 19th February 1841 en route for New York. The following day, when approximately 15 miles west of Holyhead, in calm but foggy conditions she collided with the paddle steamer Nottingham causing the Governor Fenner to sink and significant loss of life
