Percy Robertson RE (1868-1934) Born in Bellagio, Italy in 1868, he was the son of the watercolourist Charles Robertson. Educated at Charterhouse School he won the Leech prize for drawing in 1884. Percy was a watercolourist and etcher. In 1887 he was elected to the society of painter-etchers and engravers (The Royal Society of printmakers), in 1908 he was awarded a full scholarship. In 1905 Percy moved to London where he concentrated on London streets and the Thames. He frequently exhibited at all major exhibition halls showing 166 works at The Royal Society of Painters and etcher and engravers and 33 in the RA. With a ghost dated reverse, and impressed naming. A Kings South Africa medal with bars S Africa 1901 & S Africa 1902, named to 21703 S & C.S. F Mutter RE On the QSA RE roll as S & C Smith, possibly Shoeing & Collar Smith. Bars confirmed as correct, on the roll, serving with the 1st Telegraph Division Royal Engineers. The KSA roll confirms the two bars, stating discharged.
A Charles II Silver Tankard:London 1682, maker's mark SH linked in a dotted circle. Conventional form, the sides embossed with acanthus leaves and the cover with swirled acanthus leaf decoration, engraved with a coat of arms within mantling. H17cm. weight 24 troy ounces. CONDITION REPORT: Colour - has the appearance of being flat and matt. Hallmarks - the Lion passant is mistruck and part visible, other punches ok. Marks on cover are clear Embossed decoration - this could possible be latter as there is an unevenness/ bulbous to work. . Just below engraved coat of arms there is a bruise. Engraving sharp.. Both thumb-piece and scroll handle have areas of heavy silver solder,
THE CHORDS - SH-BOOM/LITTLE MAIDEN - The exceptionally rare UK pressing on Columbia (SCM 5133) of this 1954 release. It is rumoured that only a handful of copies are still in existence, and this copy certainly doesn't disappoint! The record is in strong Ex condition. There are only one or two very minor, wispy marks to the record, and certainly nothing deeper than this. The gold lettering is extremely clear and the labels are very clean. The four pronged centre remains fully intact. MATRIX: 7XCA 1162-1N+1163-1N. Complete with original company sleeve. As a bonus, you get the original US pressing on Cat! (45-104)
First World War Naval Casualty group of four, First War trio named (344752 G.W. BLORE. S.S. R.N.) together with Naval Long Service Good Conduct (344752 G.W. BLORE. SH. ST. H.M.S. VINDICTIVE) George William Blore was born in 1882 in Sheerness, he was serving on HMS Stephen Furness when on the 13th Decemember the ship was strunk by a German U boat torpedo, his body never recovered for burial. SS Stephen Furness, built by Irvine's Shipbuilding & Drydock Co. Ltd., West Hartlepool in 1910 and operated at the time of her loss by Royal Navy, was a British passenger of 1.712 tons, used as an armed boarding cruiser. On December 13th, 1917, Stephen Furness, on her way from Lerwick to Liverpool for repairs, was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UB-64 (Walter Gude), 15 miles W x N from Contrary Head, Isle of Man. Struck by a torpedo on the starboard side between the bridge and the funnel, she started sinking and before the life boats could be lowered, she suddenly went down. 101 persons were lost.
A fine pair of Edward VII Arts & Crafts style bon bon dishes by RH & SH, the circular bowl supported on organic form legs with raised floral design to upper, London 1904 (2)approx 9.4 ozt, which in grams is approx 145g for one and 147g for the other. Both overall are fair, however there is an impact dent from the supports to each in the lower well. The rims are slightly mishapen. They are both approx 10cm in diameter and 6.2cm high

A George III silver teapot of plain oval form with bright cut decoration of swags of flowers and fruit, together with a cartouche initialled "SH", ebonised finial and handle (by Hester Bateman, London, 1784), approx 13.3 oz, 14.8 cm high(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Wooden finial cracked, split, chipped and is loose and does not tighten any more. Lid bent slightly, does not fit snugly, hinge needs attention, handle with repair crudely done - see images. Body with some dents throughout, spout is rough to the touch.
