Five plaster casts including three figures, a bust and cat/dog, by sculptor Charles Leonard Hartwell RA [1873-1951], plus supporting provenance including a photograph album, RA Illustrated magazines, newspaper cuttings, signed photograph and correspondence including a hand-written and signed letter from HM Queen Mary thanking him for his contribution to the Queen`s dolls` house
Large military photograph album circa 1890-1910, containing historical images of the Black Watch on their tours and campaigns including the South Africa Boer War and India. Photographs include regimental troops at Siege Hill - Ladybird, Mauritius, and Sitapur - India, plus over 40 photographs of Byng`s column in South Africa including Boer prisoners and many ethnographic images including a leper colony in India and Zulu women. Around 100 images in total, as well as press cuttings and postcards, and accompanied by a military diary notebook kept by a soldier of the Black Watch during the South Africa Boer campaign along with the soldier`s Black Watch military cap badge, red feather hackle in original case and Victoria South Africa Boer war chocolate tin. The lot is believed to have belonged initially to a Sergeant Robertson and then added to by his son Private Harry Robertson. Accompanied by a book on the Story of the Black Watch
RODS: (2) A Grey`s of Alnwick "The Kielder Carbon" 12` 3 piece fly rod, snake guides whipped black, tipped red, spigot ferrules with alloy stoppers, line rate 5/6/7, cork handle with unscrews reel seat, fine and a Hardy Jet 9` 2 piece fibalite trout fly rod, brown glass, orange whips, line rate 7, good, both in MOBs.
REELS & SPOOLS: (Quantity) Mitchell 300A spinning reel with lever check and spring handle, a Garcia Mitchell 410 reel, faulty bail arm, a Mitchell 304 spinning reel, an Intrepid Deluxe reel, boxed, and a good collection of Mitchell spare spools in maker`s tubs, various sizes, some boxed plus assorted spares.
ACCESSORIES: Large box of assorted spinning and fly tackle incl. 100s of Scottish Spey style Devon minnows, 2"-3" in plastic and wood, a good mixed quantity of coarse fisherman`s pole elastic, catapults, Ultima line, spools, nets, line treatments etc, generally all new in packaging.
REEL SPARES: Large fruit box containing a mixed quantity of various spinning reels for spares, models incl. Intrepid, Omnia, Ambidex, Pinto plus others, assorted related spare spools and 5 boxes of spinning reel parts incl. springs, bail arms, gears and a Norris Shakespeare Allcock`s first aid kit No. DY1 for Ambidex.
REELS: (7) An Allcock 2.25" brass crank wind winch, constant check, a 2.5" counter balanced winch with optional check, 3 x other crank winds 2.25"3", 2 x with checks, a 2.25" bronze plate wind with bone handle and check, a Slater`s SEJ fly fishers winch 2 7/8" diameter, ebonite/brass with German silver rims (lacking handle) crack to backplate and 1 other.
ANGLERS GUIDES (60?): A good box of mixed Anglers Guides incl Alex Martin 1951 and 1954, Young`s of Harrow 1950, J B Walker 1957 and 1980, Hardy 2002, various Abu from the 70s, 80s and 90s period, Barbour London Anglers Association, Shakespeare tackle guides, Lee of Redditch etc plus asstd pamphlets, tickets & leaflets, possibly 60 in all.

REEL: Rare Illingworth No.3 threadline casting reel, fitted with fully enclosed gear casing, copper gold spool rim, series JM1, 1913 Patent, bronze brass stem, finger line pick up, retaining virtually all original finish in maker`s triangular fibre case.
