A EARLY 20TH CENTURY MAHOGANY FOLDING FIRESCREEN made by Cecil Viney former serviceman, of shield form, carved and inlaid with various woods, with emblems and symbols of the First World War including Royal Flying Corps badge, two apposing clenched fists, a sheathed sword and the dates 1914-1918 surrounding a helmet, the wings with stipple carved motifs. 101.5cm (h) x 70cm (w) ***For further details of Mr Cecil Viney see Both Sides of the Counter by Irene Viney, published by Regency press.
