An early Victorian needlework sampler by Sarah Beevort, `Work Wrought in the 11th Year of her Age, 1838`, with a design of a nosegay, flanked by urns of flowers and birds, above a large red house surrounded by verse, cherubs, plants and birds, all within a floral border, worked with coloured threads in cross stitch, approx 36cm x 51cm, mounted within a firescreen.
