Light surface wear. Very little signs of use. Rich colour tone throughout.
19th Century French kingwood and marquetry escritoire, bombe shape with variegated marble top, fall front writing surface enclosing a fitted interior, three drawers under, gilt metal mounts, width 70cm depth 37cm, height 130cm.Condition report:The marble top has old repaired fracture lines throughout, with some filler in places along the fractures. Some chips to the outline of the marble. There are some small losses and old repairs to the veneer and inlay but by and large it is complete. The fall-front panel has a split running down the centre, extending from below the main escutcheon. The right hand side is paler in colour due to colour bleaching. The interior is very good, the red felt with some central rips/ tears. The drawer linings are all clean and sound. There is one key which has been bent/ twisted slightly.
George III mahogany and marquetry cupboard, pendant frieze above two door enclosing shelves, the base with three drawers over a cupboard, splayed bracket feet, width 101cm, depth 51cm, height 191cm.Condition report:Some beaded elements missing from the top frieze. All four cupboard doors have splitting to the panels, mostly concentrated in the corners, and as a result there are patches of veneer and inlay loss. The lower cupboard panels are especially split. All of the inlay outlining has blistered a little. The length of satinwood moulding on the left hand side of top of the base section is missing. There is a large 1.5inch section missing above the centre of the long drawer, and various lengths of the drawer outlines have been repaired/ replaced. The interiors are red-baize lined and are looking tired, with some rips and tears. The mon drawer pulls differ in design to the short drawer pulls. The cupboard doors do not close flush. No working keys.
Elm and pine dresser base, rectangular boarded top with cleated ends, three drawers, shaped apron, turned legs, pot boards base, width 214cm, depth 40cm, height 184cm.Condition report:Late 19th century. The top has two splits extending from each end, about 2-inches in from the back. All over historic worm activity to the top and board base. The drawer linings are sound. The potboard base is heavily worn, with one plank being split through the depth. The turned supports are good and overall it remains a sturdy piece of furniture.
Small Edwardian oak desk, plain rectangular top, panelled sides and back, the kneehole flanked by two short drawers to each side, shaped finger pulls, width 121cm, depth 56cm, height 77cm.Condition report:The top has bleached in colour compared to the sides and front which retain a good honeyed tone to the oak. The top has the expected mark, stains, and rings with a desk of this age. Drawers are generally good and sound, some interior staining to the lining. The side and finished back panel remain in fair condition, the back panel does has two vertical lighted strips that form the shadow of the kneehole divisions. A good solid desk though.

Silver painted part bedroom suite, including a French style commode, serpentine top with two drawers, cabriole legs, width 108cm, depth 52cm, height 87cm., a double bed frame with mattress, pair of two drawer bedside tables and a small rectangular wall mirror.Qty: 5Condition report:The silvered finish on the commode is flaking on the drawer fronts, partly on the legs, and it looks as though it is beginning to crack and lift to the front of the top. The other pieces to the suite do not seem to have the same issue, but all have some surface marks and wear through use. All sound and stable. The tops of the bedsides have some surface marks and stains but difficult to see on the silvered finish.The mattress is by Sleepworks and is a "stress free" model, presumably sprung. Showing little signs of use.

George III mahogany bowfront sideboard, fitted with central drawer flanked by two deep drawers, ebony outlines, square tapering supports, width 136cm, depth 57cm, height 88cm.Condition report:The top has some old marks and surface scratching, with a 3cm lighter fine scratch towards the left hand edge, and a 1cm diameter indentation towards the back left hand corner. The veneer to the edging of the top appears to have been mostly reapplied. Both side panels have splitting running horizontally, some old marks, and the right hand side has a dark ingrained mark running almost the entire width. The drawer linings are sound and they run well. The right hand drawer with lead bottle liner is a bit worn and poor. Legs are good and sturdy.

Contemporary oak sideboard, three central drawers flanked by two cupboards, width 137cm, depth 46cm, height 76.5cm.Condition report:The middle drawer has swollen so it is all but stuck, but once taken out some of the lining could be slightly shaved off so that it ran smoothly. The right hand cupboard doesn't quite line up with the top catch so it stands ajar. Other than that, the interiors are clean. Very little signs of use. Requires new pulls as only one remains with it.

Joined oak linen press, 18th Century, moulded cornice, the upper section with doors enclosing two shelves, above a drawer, the base with two short and two long drawers, bracket feet, width 116cm, depth 54cm, height 197cm.Condition report:Old repairs throughout. The top section, inlcuding back panel and top planks, have suffered some woodworm. The top planks have parted so the inner cavity is open to dust etc. The interior is a tired with various old marks and wear. The front frieze below the cornice has some Tunbridge-style stringing but some lengths are lacking. The right hand door does not close flush. Old losses to the door and drawer pulls throughout. The base section is mostly good, some of the side panels have split along grain lines. The drwers linings are all sound, although planks have parted slightly. Some internal staining. Old repairs to the feet.
Large part painted pine dresser, the gallery back fitted with four shelves, waxed pine top above three drawers and pair of cupboards, plinth base, width 215cm, depth 55cm, 233cm.Condition report:Mid-to-late 20th century. Good overall condition. Needs remedial surface work as the paint is marked and some chipping. The pine top has some spot stating and marks, as do the exposed pine slats to the gallery back. The interiors of the drawers and cupboards are heavily stained with a blue substance, but drawer linings are sound. The gallery back is lacking hooks but you can certainly see where they have been screwed in and are missing.
Victorian painted pine chest of drawers, two short and two long drawers, bracket feet, width 88cm, depth 50cm, height 83cm.Condition report:There have been two mdf blocks added to the underside to raise it off the ground by an additional inch from the original bracket feet. There looks to be a short split to the top extending from the left hand side under the paint. The moulded outline of the top has suffered some historic losses to the front right corner. The drawers stick a little but are generally clean and sound. Handles replaced. Mouldings to the drawer fronts added to match that of lot 382. Paint chips and flakes throughout, some other random surface marks.
Small elm and pine dresser base, boarded top with cleated ends, two drawers, shaped apron, turned legs pot board base, width 122cm, depth 41cm, height 76cm.Condition report:Fundamentally it is structurally sound with some old splitting to the top along the grain. It has certainly had its fair share of worm activity over the years with evidence of historic holes and worm tracks throughout, but all appear historic and the wood is currently stable. Heavily stained, marked, and with some splashes of wax throughout. The linings are quite primitive but again, fundamentally sound.
