A Late 19th Century French Kingwood, Amboyna and Satinwood Pedestal Dressing Table, by Jeanselme Fils Godin et Cie, with moulded edge to top, each pedestal fitted nine small drawers, with cross banded fronts, with a central cheval mirror of shaped outline, inset with bevelled mirror plate, on shaped apron and short cabriole legs, 57ins wide x 23ins deep x 68.5ins high Note: The firm Jeanselme was established by Charles-Joseph Marie Jeanselme at 7 and 9 Rue Harlay, Paris. The firm Jeanselme Fils Godin et Cie passed into the direction of Auguste Godin in 1871 on the retirement of the founder and went under the name of A Godin et Cie until 1883. It remained at the same location but Rue Harley was renamed Rue des Arquebusiers in 1879. Godin died in 1883 and the son of the founder, Charles Henry Jeanselme continued the business under the same name of Ch Jeanselme et Cie until it ceased in 1930.
A 19th Century French Provincial Fruitwood Kitchen Table, with two plank cleated top, fitted three frieze drawers to one side and on octagonal turned supports with H-pattern stretcher, 81ins x 31ins x 31.5ins highTo the top there are heavy signs of scratching, darker staining and water marks. Some slight signs of shrinkage between all four planks of the top running horizontally from one end to the other. All four edges of the top have some general rubbing and edge knocks. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. Flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. General heavier wear to the stretchers and legs commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.
A George IV Mahogany Bow Fronted Chest, with square edge to top, fitted two short and three long graduated drawers, on splayed bracket feet, 41.5ins wide x 20.5ins deep x 42.5ins highTo the top there is some general scattered scratching, some polish loss. On the right hand side there is a shrinkage split running horizontally around 8ins long and one slightly lower around 6ins long. On the left hand side there is one around 4ins long. Around all three front edges at the top there is some heavy rubbing and deeper edge knocks. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. The item appears to have replacement handles at some point in its lifetime. On the top right hand side of the left drawer there is a small area of veneer loss in a triangular section around 1ins long. On the bottom drawer on the left hand side there is a small area of timber loss around 4ins long running horizontally. General heavier wear to the feet including veneer loss commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

A Late 18th/Early 19th Century Mahogany Dresser Base, with moulded edge to top, fitted six drawers flanked by two cupboards each enclosed by a single panelled door, on bracket feet, 62ins wide x 19.5ins deep x 37.5ins highTo the top there is some general heavier scratching, darker staining and water marks (ring marks), and on the right and left hand sides there are shadows from where the top should be and previous screw holes that have been filled in. On the back edge there is a wide shrinkage split running horizontally from one end to the other. There are flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. On the front and top it is heavily faded. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. The back right hand leg and left back leg have evidence of historic dry rot. General heavier wear to the base and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.
A George III Figured Walnut Chest, with moulded edge and cross banding to top, fitted brushing slide, and four long graduated drawers under, on bracket feet, 34.5ins wide x 18ins deep x 33ins highTo the top there appears to be just some general light scattered scratching and to the three front edges there is some light general rubbing and edge knocks, to the right hand side of the top there is a small piece of stringing missing, around 1ins long running vertically, the whole chest has been heavily polished, the green baize to the fitted slide appears to be in good overall condition, drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance, to the right hand side there is shrinkage split running vertically at the base around 12ins long, and on the very front edge of the right hand side there is evidence of historic woodworm that has been treated and there is a slight discoloration, and on the left hand side there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, the back boards appear to be in a good condition, general heavier to the bracket feet commensurate with age, overall this item appears to be in fairly good condition with some signs of obvious restoration, and is structurally sound with only little to some movements in the joints
A George III Mahogany Chest of small proportions, with moulded edge to top, fitted slide and four long graduated drawers under, and on bracket feet, 30ins wide x 18ins deep x 31ins highTo the top there is some general scattered scratching and darker staining. To the right and left hand sides there are small shrinkage splits running horizontally around 6ins long each. Around all three front edges of the top there is some slight rubbing and general edge knocks. On the left hand side there is a diagonal split running through the moulding around 3ins long, the same on the right hand side. To the right hand side there is some heavier scratching and impressions. The drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. In the image there is a handle missing but this is now present. General heavier wear to the base and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

A George III Mahogany Bow Front Chest and a Toilet Mirror, the chest with crossbanded top and inlaid with stringings, fitted three long drawers with shaped apron and bracket feet 40ins wide x 21ins deep x 31.5ins high, and a mahogany framed rectangular toilet mirror on shaped uprights, the platform base fitted two drawers on bun feet 19.5ins wideToilet mirror - around all four edges of the mirror in the corners there are diagonal shrinkage splits around 2ins long. On the very top at the left hand side there is some slight veneer loss at around 0.25ins squared. Some darker staining build up around all four edges of the mirror. Some light scattered scratching to the base. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. On the right hand side a section of veneer is loose but present. The same for the left hand side. General heavier wear to the bun feet commensurate with age. Chest - to the top there is some darker general scattered scratching and staining. On the top right hand corner around 6ins long running horizontally there is a shrinkage split. Some of the ebonised stringing is missing on the right hand side in two sections. On the left hand side and the front the veneer is starting to crack. There is a shrinkage split on the left hand side around 12ins long. The drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. General heavier wear to the base and feet commensurate with age. On the right and left hand feet at the top where it meets the apron there are diagonal shrinkage splits running from one end to the other. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

An Edwardian Mahogany and Inlaid Writing Desk, with cross banded edge and leather inset to top, fitted two frieze drawers, on square tapered legs with castors, 36ins wide x 16ins deep x 28.5ins highTo the top the leather is heavily distressed, stained and scratched. There is an area missing in the top left hand corner. Around all four edges of the top there is some general rubbing and edge knocks and there are numerous areas of veneer shrinkage and some loss at the top right hand corner. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. Some light oxidisation to the metal components. On the right hand back leg there is an area of moulding missing around 2ins long running horizontally. On the left front leg, on the left and back sides, there are two areas of moulding missing each around 2ins long. General heavier wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age. Castors run free and easily with minimal resistance. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints. The whole is heavily faded.

To the right hand side there is a shrinkage split running vertically around 12ins long. The same on the left hand side. The metal inlay of the drawer fronts is beginning to come loose however is still present. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. General heavier wear to the plinth base commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints.
A Victorian Figured, Burr Walnut and Marquetry-Inlaid Bonheur Du Jour, 3rd quarter 19th century, in Louis XV style, the three-quarter pierced brass gallery above a mirrored cupboard door flanked by six small drawers with further drawer below, all between canted stiles, the base of serpentine form with an inset small leather writing surface flanked by tulipwood crossbanding, the serpentine drawer on slender cabriole legs with gilt foliate mounts98cm by 60cm by 126cmThe leather has some scuffs, faults and wear (as photographed). The doors and drawer are open but there is no key. We only have one sabot (which is detached) - the sabots to the other three feet are missing. With some small veneer losses and some scuffs to the legs, but reasonable colour. Please see further images.
