JEAN ROYERE, A walnut and rosewood banded side cabinet, circa 1950, the ribbed central cupboard doors enclosing a viod interior with two drawers, one with ivorine label marked 'Jean Royare', flanked by glazed and mirrored cupboard sides with a shelf, on a brass rimmed plinth, 84.5cm. high by 220cm. long by 51cm. deep; 2ft. 9in., 7ft. 2in., 1ft. 8in.
A Mid 18th Century Oak Low Dresser of good colour and patination. The top measuring 74 ins x 21 ins and having applied edge moulding above three deep frieze drawers with grooved outlines, brass escutcheons and handles on winged back-plates set into a shaped apron. Standing on baluster turned front legs with block stile supports to the rear.
A Fine George I Walnut Veneered Lowboy. The cross-banded top measuring 29 ins x 17 1/2 ins (74 cms x 45 cms) inlaid with stringing and having a moulded edge with re-entrant corners above two small upper drawers and a long drawer below cross-banded and strung with lipmoulded edges and brass swing handles on pierced back plates. The apron with ogee shaped corners edged in lipmoulding and standing on fine cabriole legs with scrolling foliage carved to the hips and terminating on pad feet, 29 1/2 ins (75 cms) in height.
A Small 18th Century Dutch Marquetry Chest of Drawers. The well patinated moulded serpentine top having a decorative shaped panel inlaid with an urn cascading flowers, parrots perched amidst the foliage and lavish scrolls within a border of stringing surrounded by further trailing flowers and marquetried butterflies in roundels to the protuberant corners. The four long drawers similarly marquetried with scrolling flowers & foliage and having rounded moulding to the drawer divides and sunken quarter columns inlaid with pendant garlands to the corners. The sides ornamented with birds perched amongst urns of flowers in oval strung panels. The moulded base raised on carved claw feet, 35 ins (89 cms) in width, 30 1/2 ins (77 cms) in height.
A Fine Queen Anne Oak Fall Front Bureau. The sloped front having a book rest and reeded moulding to the edges with an engraved brass escutcheon, opening to be supported on side lopers and revealing a stepped interior fitted with arcaded pigeon holes, small drawers and a sliding stationary well. The two short and. two long drawers below having brass swing handles on engraved back plates &. similar escutcheons framed in reeded moulding and raised on turned bun feet, 32 ins (82 cms) wide, 38 ins (97 cms) tall.
A Richly Patinated Late 17th Century English Joined Oak Low Dresser. The top having a moulded edge and measuring 69 ins x 18 ins (175 cms x 46 cms) above three moulded twin-panel drawers with brass knop handles on side groove runners. Standing on three Doric column front legs connected to the rear stile supports by a low moulded peripheral stretcher.
A Fabulous 17th Century Oak Low Dresser. The two plank top having a moulded edge measuring 72 ins x 22 1/2 ins (183 cms x 57 cms). The three moulded frieze drawers on groove runners with oval brass knob handles, divided by geometrically moulded muntins above a carved strip of cavetto moulding. The three fine silhouette cut front legs enhanced by the inverted tear-drop rabbets and lozenges to the feet, and connected to the rear stiles by peripheral scotia moulded stretchers.
An unusual Edwardian mahogany music cabinet, the serpentine shaped rectangular top with moulded gallery, the five fall-front drawers outlined with satinwood banding and with art nouveau cast handles on moulded cabriole legs with trefoil feet, silver presentation plaque dated July 1910 manufactured by Patterson Sons and Co Dundee, Perth and Arbroath 56cm x 98cm high
