With bronze handle and opening to reveal a fitted interior for glass medicine bottles and two drawers with chemical balance, glass pestle and other bottles, 29cm wide. A George II mahogany caddy top chest of small proportions. With crossbanded top, four graduated drawers and raised on bracket feet, 81cm wide, 78cm high, 47cm deep.Condition report intended as a guide only.Some moulding lacking to the top drawer. Small veneer repairs. Colour faded.
A William and Mary period oak court cupboard. The frieze is carved with trailing vines, inscribed R. S. G and dated 1700. The centre section with turned pendants and three panels incorporating two cupboard doors is further decorated with fruiting vines. Raised over a base section with two drawers and another pair of cupboard doors. With reeded mouldings and iron hinges, 150cm high, 121cm wide, 41cm deep.Condition report intended as a guide only.Mostly original. Some alterations including door locks. Very good colour. Top boards probably replacements, the timber is ancient with the front board having a split on the left hand side, the rear most board cracked from the right to the centre and with cured infestation to the left back corner.Top section lacking shelf with some supports still in place. Back boards all running horizontally, of sturdy oak and chamfered to fit into the frame, thought to be original. Some more signs of wood worm damage to the rear. Drawer runners likely replaced. Inner shelf an oak faced softwood replacement as is the base board.
A late 18th / early 19th century kingwood bombe commode. The metamorphic top folding and converting two a two tier shelf, with a side drawer and two candle slides. With three graduated drawers having ormolu scrollwork handles and raised on splay bracket supports, 88cm wide, 76cm high, 57cm deep.Condition report intended as a guide only.Left slide missing handle. Some slight veneer chips. No key. Good colour.
