A George III oak chest on chest,19th century and later, set with an arrangement of nine drawers,117cm wide58cm deep202cm high Condition Report Repair and restoration. Re-finished and re-veneered. General surface knocks, scratches and wear. Pulls later. Mouldings later. Repaired splits. Missing sections of the fretwork have been replaced with hand carved replacements,and new oak back panels have replaced the original damaged ones. It also features newly sourced traditional handles and the whole chest has benefited from a deep wax and polish allowing the old oak to shine again.
