1968-69 WALES SOCCER CAP WORN BY CLIFF JONES v ITALY Condition: excellent and bearing stitched label to the interior with name of player Provenance: Cwmtwrch RFC Swansea born, Cliff Jones (b.1935) is one of Welsh football and Tottenham Hotspurs greatest players. The winger has been inducted into the National Football Hall of Fame, he won 59 Welsh caps, and was a member of the only Welsh team to play in the World Cup Finals. With Tottenham he won the Football League and FA Cup 'double' in 1960-61 season. He scored 159 goals for his club side in 378 appearances and currently stands at fourth in Tottenham's all-time scoring list. Cliff Jones is one of only six Welshman to be inducted into the National Football Hall of Fame (the others being John Charles, Billy Meredith, Ian Rush, Mark Hughes and Ryan Giggs).
