Harris Lebus was the worlds largest furniture manufacturer at the time with their production factory based in Tottenham, their youth team players were all ex-Tottenham schoolboys. Horizonal fold. ROY OF THE ROVERS Original Roy of the Rovers artwork by the leading sports artist Paul Trevillion who has been and still is the leading artist of Sporting Artwork. This item is a Trevillion 1963 detailed preparatory art for Tiger Comic " Learn to play the Roy Race Way". Trevillion was helped and advised on the "Learn to Play" series by Bill Nicholson and Alf Ramsey with whom Trevillion began a lasting friendship when he captured and drew them in their Tottenham playing days for the Lillywhite Magazine. The Tiger Comic with the "Learn to Play the Roy Race Way" signed by Trevillion is included in this lot. Good
