Molly Rozier - Textiles, 63cm x 65cm. Molly Rozier is influenced by John Ruskin?s theories on colour and the wonderful work of John Piper. Her paintings are large, absorbing much memory in the layers. Molly finds that textiles are a good way to express herself. She mostly works to commission and also teaches painting and drawing.Provenance: Acquired by Dorothy Claxton on 18th September 2019.

The scarf had an applied makers and designers label attached, the grey ground version is believed to be a trial version for the final version printed on a black ground.

A group of 18th century textiles, comprising a classical scene, within a gilt and ebonised wood frame, indistinct text verso, possibly '1732', 8.5cm oval, together with four other framed textiles, a lady carving her initial into a tree, two ladies at window, and a pair of floral samplers. (5)
λ A Mughal Indian rosewood and ivory casket, with brass mounts, inlaid with panels of flowers and borders of scrolling leaves and flowerheads, the domed hinged lid with a handle revealing a vacant interior, originally with divisions, late 17th / early 18th century, 11.3cm high, 33cm wide, 16cm deep, on a later ebonised stand.
