The 'Lion' - of a party - a wonderful pen and ink sketch taken from the journal of Sydney, Lady Morgan 1776-1859, The subject, obviously a 'Society' figure is the very picture of dandified, empty-headed pomposity, unsigned but clearly from a professional hand, the reverse of the page bears a water-colour of a Sicilian peasant woman entited' Costume of Lucca'.
