SPIRIT OF JOHN MORGAN - SPIRIT OF JOHN MORGAN LP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - CARNABY CNLS 6002). Superb copy of the very hard to source eponymous 1969 LP from Spirit Of John Morgan (Carnaby - CNLS 6002). The record is in top Ex+ condition showing just a couple of very minor and faint marks on side 2. The sleeve is in Ex+ condition showing some very slight wear to the front laminate.

An unusual early 19th Century monochrome sampler 'Ann Morgan, aged 19, 1812, Newtown, Montgomeryshire' worked with an alphabet and numerals over a series of geographical lists - The countries of Europe and their Capitals/ British Isles/ Chief Islands of England/ Islands of The Mediterranean/ The Chief Mountains of Europe /The Fiery Mountains of Europe, worked with ships and a vase of flowers with birds highlighted in colours, some moth, in a glazed oak frame, 42 x 32 cm
9th-7th century BC. A large bituminous limestone cylinder seal with hunting scene, comprising from right to left: the Neo-Assyrian king as an archer in the lion hunt, standing next to the charioteer on the chariot, drawn by three horses, horses jumping across the back of a mortally wounded lioness with head turned backwards towards the chariot. For this motive as a symbol for overcoming the hostile and chaotic forces, cf. R. D. Barnett; W.
