Signatures include Miss A Poumpoura - who along with her brother helped over 100 allied servicemen escape from Athens. A Neslihandis - A chemist in Athens who helped Flt Sgt Charles Hopson and many others before being imprisoned by the Italians. A Zafiropoulous - who hid Pilot Office Robert Ross for several months and helped many others before being imprisoned by the Italians. D Karapas - who sheltered 9 allied soldiers in his workers hut. Mrs T Samara - Who helped Wing Commander Howell by hiding him in her hotel which was, upon the discovery of her act, destroyed by the Germans and Stavros Kitsos - Who helped Wing Commander Howell and other escapers in Chalkidiki. The Earl of Rosebery KG' and with the Latin legend Defenser Praeclarus Imperu Britannici [or Defender of the Great British Empire], the other a fiddleback blackwood crook cane with silver ferrule, London 1921, inscribed Rosebery from Ronald Novar 1921 [Ronald Craufurd Munro Ferguson, 1st Viscount Novar, KT GCMG PC (1860 -1934) Scottish politician and colonial governor] (2) One of the canes with split and missing section from the endRoot Handle Cane:chipping to the upper edge of the handle.Light scuffs and scratches across the entire surface.One section of the handle appears to have been broken and restored.Tarnishing to the silver.A large section of the cane has split and therefore missing a section at the end.Additional Cane:Light scuffs and scratches across the entire surface.Area of white residue is present on the handle.Several small chips to the handle and main body.Tarnishing to the silver.Areas of rubbing lower down the stick, resulting in slight discolouration.Slight rusting to the very base.

A Vintage Bell & Howell 16 mm Cine Camera, with a Cooke King 1" fl:5 nr 359971 lens in the original canvas case. The camera originally the ownership of Edward Bishop Boughton and used for Safari Tours of Africa. Initialled E.B.B. Provenance: Mr Boughton in partnership established the engineering firm Automotive Products based in Leamington Spa in the 1920's.

Taxidermy: Leopard (Panthera pardus) circa 1930, large flat skin rug with no backing material, 267cm long , 161cm across the forelimbs Accompanied by framed provenance: This Leopard (chui) was shot in the 1930's by Howell Augeraud who was farming sheep at Supuko, a 3500 acre farm on the Aberdares at Thomson's Falls, Kenya. It had been attacking the sheep and Howell and his teenage nephew Ben Allison set off into the forest to find it. After a while Ben decided to sit down, and took his rifle to pieces to clean it, he looked up and saw the Leopard looking at him. Howell managed to shoot it just in time as it sprang at Ben. Ben became head of the prison service in Kenya during the Mau Mau years of the 1950's. He finished his career as Governor of Durham prison. The farm changed from sheep to cattle and was taken over by Isabel and Richard Winnington-Ingram in 1958 and later bought by the Kenya Government in 1963 on getting their independence. CITES Appendix I Annex A, (exempt) Including original Export permit dated 22/10/64, number A15805 tail is detached and in several pieces, fur pile is very good as it has been hung up and not been used on the floor, no paws remaining ,
§ Peter Howell (British, b. 1932) Morning on the heath signed lower right "Howell" oil on canvas 35 x 45cm (14 x 18in) Oil on canvas which is unlined. Paint layer in a good condition, small areas of age cracks. There is a thick and very yellowed varnish present on the surface affecting the tone of the painting. The varnish is worn in some areas. Frame is dusty but in a good condition.
