The Walking Stick (1970) Watercolour concept storyboards from the film starring David Hemmings. The artwork is signed by Production Designer John Howell who also worked on James Bond Casino Royale, five framed pieces, largest image 29cm x 51cm (5). Provenance: From the estate of Elliott Kastner (1930 - 2010). He was an American film producer, whose best known credits include Where Eagles Dare (1968), The Long Goodbye (1973), The Missouri Breaks (1976) and Angel Heart (1987). The majority of these items were in his Pinewood studio office.

Rebacked, title page trimmed at top margin, lacking final blank.Provenance: Henry Huth (bookplate); Lord Fairfax of Cameron (bookplate); Robert S. Pirie (bookplate; his sale, Sotheby's New York, December 2, 2015, lot 317 [part]).In two parts, the second with a separate title page, and the title The Nuptials of Peleus and Thetis, a new Italian Comedy ... made English by a nearer adherence to the original than the French translation. The first part (the Mask) from this work, was incorporated by Lord Lansdowne in The Jew of Venice, his adaptation of Shakespeare's The Merchant of Venice [see lot 18]. Wing H-3097.

A rare item, the Schwerdt copy sold in 2006 in the Duke of Gloucester sale at Christie's. Schwerdt II p. 294 ''Very rare. We have never heard of another copy.'' [Hawke, Martin] Howell Wood; or, the Raby Hunt, in Yorkshire. A new hunting song, to the tune of Ballynamonaora. Pontefract: Printed and Published by John Fox, 1806. 8vo, unbound pamphlet; decorative woodcut headpiece. Third ed., ''with very considerable additions''. The first edition of this work was published in 1804. The author was first identified in the 1840 edition by the Middle Hill Press. [2]
