1976 Harley - Davidson SS250, 250 cc. Registration number PAO 308P. Frame number 9E12091H6. Engine number 9E12091H6.Harley Davidson's attempts to capture a share of the world's market for lightweight and mid-size two stroke bikes was somewhat doomed from the start due to the impending, if not foreseen, influence of the environmentalists, who even today would be glad to see the back of the 2-stroke. The average well used Asian concrete mixer probably puts out more pollutants than all the Harley strokers ever made, but H-D got the message eventually and by 1978 none were listed in the catalogue. The largest 2 stroke offered previous to this was a 250cc version similar to the 1976 machine pictured here. So rare that the model is not even referred to in the official H-D archive on the writer's bookshelves, but the ubiquitous Internet does recognise the model, which appears to be a Yamaha inspired design. These lightweight Harleys were built by the Aermacchi factory in Italy under license with HD from the early 196's until the late 1970's.This example was sold by DK Motorcycles of Newcastle under Lyme to Paul Tonge of Barnsley in March 2016 as a trade sale who purchased a new wiring loom from the USA. It was then sold by this firm, as a project in July 2019, to our vendor who has completely restored it. This included a full engine rebuild, stainless steel rims and spokes, respray, new SX exhaust system and new tyres. Since then he has covered just over 1000 trouble free miles and it is only for sale due to ill health.Sold with the V5C, DVLA correspondence, various receipts and booklets.

1960 DKW RT 175 VSFrame no. 45595734Engine no. 45069098DKW was founded in Zschopau in 1919 by Danish engineer Jorgen Rasmussen and built its first motorcycle power unit, a single-cylinder, clip-on engine for bicycle attachment, in 1921. One of its last introductions immediately prior to WW2 was the immensely influential RT 125 two-stroke single, which was manufactured after the war by Harley-Davidson as the Model 'S' and BSA as the Bantam. DKW themselves recommenced production of the RT 125 in 1949 and went on to build a range of larger models based on RT 125 lines, the RT 175 being one of them. Believed cosmetically restored, with the possible exception of the wheels, this DKW RT 175 displays a total of 4,643 kilometres on the odometer. We are advised that the machine was running when purchased but has not been started since it was put into dry storage in 2019. The engine turns over with compression. There is no import paperwork with this machine, which is offered with a photocopy of its ASI and original Motociclo Motocarrozzetta registration documents.Lot to be sold without reserve. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Known as the Joker in its home country and the Shadow elsewhere, the SRX50 featured a 49cc case-reed induction two-stroke engine producing a maximum of 4.5bhp, while other specification highlights include an electric starter; CVT (automatic) transmission; and a front disc brake. The Shadow was never officially imported into the UK, those that did make it to this country being 'grey imports'. Believed unused, this Shadow was imported by BAT Motorcycles of Biggin Hill, Kent and comes with DVLA forms V55/5 and V267.Lot to be sold without reserve. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Lot 81

2000 Harley-Davidson XL883C Sportster CustomRegistration no. X202 KNPFrame no. 1HD4CJM19YK143609Engine no. CJMY143609In 1982 Harley-Davidson introduced a new welded frame, replacing the traditional lugged type in use hitherto, and then the following year saw the introduction of two new Sportsters: the XLX and XR-1000, the former being a more affordable base model intended to attract new customers. In 1986 Harley-Davidson's new all-alloy Evolution engine became available in the ever-popular Sportster, the model having recently been up-graded with Harley's diaphragm clutch, alternator electrics and a five-speed gearbox. The new Sportster was initially offered in 883cc and 1,100cc sizes, the latter being opened out to 1,200cc for 1988. The machine offered here is an example of the XL883C Sportster Custom, a new introduction for 1999, which featured forward controls and a 21' wire-spoked front wheel. The Sportster was acquired for the collection in November 2006, which is when it was last taxed for the road. The machine is offered with sundry bills; old/current V5C documents; two expired MoTs; and a factory owner's manual.Lot to be sold without reserve. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

2008 Hyosung GV650 AquilaRegistration no. MX57 EKEFrame no. KM4VP51A171105993Engine no. GV650-108669Always wanted a Harley-Davidson V-Rod but can't afford one? Then the V-Rod-lookalike Hyosung Aquila is the machine for you. The Aquila is manufactured by the Korean Hyosung Corporation, which is active in various manufacturing and construction industries. It is powered by a 647cc 90-degree v-twin engine, apparently inspired by that of the Suzuki SV650. MCN reckoned the GV650 Aquila 'an oddball Korean concoction whose extreme Dan Dare styling is surprisingly more than matched by its consummate ability, specification and value – for a cruiser at least. Look past the... Star Trek styling and there's a decent SV-style engine, quality cycle parts and effective, real world performance – and not much to rival (it). Last taxed in 2011, this GV650 Aquila comes with a V5C Registration Certificate in the last registered keeper's name.Lot to be sold without reserve. For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com

Note other lots in the auction may close on June 30th or July 1st. The Terminator's (Arnold Schwarzenegger) leather jacket costume with an SFX head from James Cameron's sci-fi action sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The T-800 wore his costume throughout the film, including in the opening scene where he stole the ensemble from a disgruntled biker, his fight sequences with the seemingly invincible T-1000 (Robert Patrick), and his final farewell with John (Edward Furlong) and Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). Created by costume designer Marlene Stewart, the costume became an iconic piece of pop culture, bringing the franchise into the 1990s with grunge flair. This lot consists of a black leather motorcycle jacket with a self-belt bottom (marked "I.C.9" in white ink inside one of the pockets); a pair of black custom-made leatherette pants; a leather belt with a metal buckle; and a pair of black Harley Davidson motorcycle boots with metal top buckles. Also included is a battle-damaged, bullet-riddled, static T-800 SFX makeup head made by Stan Winston Studio for action sequences in which the T-800 is damaged. The head is hand-punched with brown hair and glass eyes, and painted to appear as if flesh is peeling to reveal the metal endoskeleton underneath. The head is a separate piece to the costume and is mounted on an acrylic stand. The lot exhibits clear signs of wear from age and production use, including significant grime and distressing throughout the jacket, tears in the pants, and flaking foam. It remains in good overall condition. Dimensions (head): 17" x 17" x 16" (43.25 cm x 43.25 cm x 40.75 cm) Estimate: $20,000 - 30,000
