A Lady's Diamond Set Cocktail Wristwatch, signed Geneve, circa 1940manual wound lever movement, silvered dial with Arabic numerals, an eight-cut diamond set case, snap-on back, and an eight-cut and baguette cut diamond set bracelet, total estimated diamond weight 1.70 carat approximately 16mm wide, bracelet length 17.3cmNB: one diamond deficientThe watch is in fair condition, case back with surface scratches, one central diamond missing to the lower side of the lug, dial very slightly discoloured in parts, hand setting correctly and winding smoothly, movement is working. The watch bracelet is in fair condition with slight wear between the links. It bears no hallmark nor stamp to the case or bracelet but in our opinion would test as platinum. It fastens with a tongue and box catch, features a figure-of-eight safety catch and safety chain. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 19.4 grams. CR made 31.03.23.

Original-Siebdruckplakat der Galleria Sperone, Mailand, 19.4.1967. 55 x 42 cm.Seltenes Plakat. - Der italienische Künstler, Designer und Architekt Ettore Sottsass jr. (1917-2007) "showed twenty-one totemic industrial ceramic works in the exhibition "Menhir, Ziggurat, Stupas, Hydrants & Gas Pumps" in Milan in 1967. He based their forms on the most ancient and fundamental markers of human intention: menhirs and cairns such as those at Stonehenge, Indian stupas and linga, and ziggurats, which express the desire to ascend toward the heavens. However, fire hydrants and gas pumps were also a source of inspiration. Technically complicated to manufacture, the cylinders maintain a relationship to the power of mass production and consumption. Sottsass conceived his first totem while recovering from nephritis in 1962, when he sketched one from the cocktail of medicines that saved his life.
