Fine diamond cocktail ring by Mario Buccellati, the impressive emerald cut diamond weighing 8.50 carats, colour grade J, clarity grade VS2, in rectangular rub-over setting, on a wide tapered band with openwork pierced half hoop surround set with nineteen brilliant cut diamonds and finely engraved foliate design with brushed finish to the band, mounted in 18ct white gold, signed - 'M. Buccellati, Italy'. Ring size approximately M. Accompanied by a GIA Diamond Grading Report dated 14th April 2015, stating the diamond to weigh 8.50 carats, colour - J and clarity - VS2. Provenance: Purchased from Christie's Geneva Magnificent Jewels 16th November 2000 CONDITION REPORT The GIA Certificate is dated April 14th 2015, giving the measurements 14.78mm x 10.53mm x 6.37mm. Carat weight 8.50 carats. Colour grade - J. Clarity grade - VS2. Florescence none. The ring was purchased from Christie's Sale of Magnificent Jewels in Geneva 16th November 2000 and we believe CHF 129,250 ($75,064) was paid. Fine quality craftsmanship, signed on inside of shank. Very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 18.1 grams
Fine Art Deco diamond and sapphire cocktail ring, the openwork plaque with three principal old cut diamonds within interwoven scrolls of calibre cut blue sapphires and further old cut diamonds with foliate diamond shoulders, pierced gallery on fluted shank. Ring size approximately N CONDITION REPORT The bezel measures approximately 27mm x 18mm. Principal diamond is estimated to weigh approximately 0.45 carats. Estimated H / I colour. S / I clarity. It is very possible that the sapphires are synthetic sapphires rather than natural, as was typical during this period. Inevitable signs of re-sizing to the shank, no hallmarks. Very good condition

Estimated J / K colour. I2 clarity. Shank is stamped Platinum. The shank is mis-shaped. Setting in good condition commensurate with age. Bezel measures 16mm x 13mm. Total gross weight 5.6 grams. Fine ladies' diamond set cocktail watch, by Moussaieff, modelled in the form of a handbag, the concealed dial with rose gold brushed finish, set with diamonds and engraved white gold bezel, the cover with pink diamonds to the flower-head clusters, contrasting on a pavé set white diamond ground, with diamond set handle forming the lug, all set in gold (18ct) on a black leather strap with diamond set buckle, in box, signed by Moussaieff. N.B. Recently inspected by Moussaieff of Bond Street, who estimate the replacement cost of this watch to be approximately £35,000 CONDITION REPORT Very good condition. The watch measures approx 40mm x 35mm. The watch has a quartz movement and currently not running, presumably needs a new battery but no guarantee that the watch works. Buckle marked 18ct and set with a diamond flower, black leather strap is not original. Box, no papers. Copy of a letter from Moussaieff who have recently inspected the watch and estimate the current replacement value to be approx £35,000

Edward Sylvester Hynes (b. 1897, Burren, County Clare; d. Burren, 12 May 1982) was a political cartoonist, caricaturist, illustrator and painter.The son of a surgeon, he was brought up in Nottingham, served in the Merchant Navy, and studied medicine at Sheffield University. Some of his earliest caricatures appeared in Town Topics in 1923, but he is probably best known for his colour caricature covers for Men Only from 1937 to 1956. He also contributed to the Daily Sketch, Lilliput, Gentlewoman, The Evening News, The Strand Magazine, the Humorist, Razzle (including covers), the Sunday Express, the Bystander, London Calling, Night & Day and London Opinion. He drew theatre caricatures for the Illustrated Sporting and Dramatic News, and also worked in advertising. He was a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.He published one book of cartoons, Cocktail Cavalcade (1937). He retired to his birthplace in Burren, County Clare, where he produced oil paintings and charcoal drawings. He died at Bayfield House, Newquay, Burren, and is buried in Corcomroe Abbey.*********************************************************************Edward S.
