A vintage 20th century hallmarked 9ct gold cocktail watch having faceted hands with a silvered dial along with a continental silver watch having a white enamel facet with Roman numeral chapter ring and gilt faceted hands, the case having chased decoration of flowers and birds, stamped 935 to interior. Weighs individually 8.4 grams and 26.4 grams. Widest measures 4 cm.

A scarce book in the extremely rare variant dustjacket with Alex Jardine's classically 1930s vibrant design. This volume, considered one of the essential cocktail books, apparently contains some of the earliest known recipes using tequila and vodka, and is notable for its blue cocktails. The recipes were compiled by William J. Tarling who was head bartender at the Caf‚ Royal and President of the then relatively new United Kingdom Bartenders' Guild, founded 1933. (1)
