Three silver items, comprising: a shaped circular salver by Barker Brothers Silver Ltd, Birmingham 1939, engraved To Sir John Pigott-Brown - With Best Wishes From The Tenants And Staff Of The Doddershall Estate On The Occasion Of His Marriage 6th April 1940, on four pad feet, 26cm (10 1/4in) diameter; a Victorian toast rack by Charles Thomas Fox & George Fox, London 1845 (losses); and a rectangular cigarette box, London marks worn, engraved with the crest of the Royal Scots Greys regiment, loaded, 849g (27.3 oz) weighable Captain Sir John Hargreaves Pigott-Brown, 2nd Bt. (1913-1942) was the son of Captain Gordon Hargreaves Brown and Editha Ivy Pigott. He married Helen Viola Egerton Cotton on 6th April 1940. He was a captain in the 2nd Battalion, the Coldstream Guards and was killed in action on 25th December 1942 at age 29 in Tunisia.
