18CT GOLD OPEN FACED, KEY WIND, CHRONOGRAPH POCKET WATCH, face marked: J. Hargreaves and Company, Liverpool, makers to the Queen and HRH Prince of Wales, having enamel face with Roman numerals and Arabic outer scale, blued steel sweep second hand, the edge of the case with engraved decoration, the back plain. Case with Chester hallmark for 1880, bearing initials: J.M & Co., numbered: 46378, the inner dust cover with two winding/adjustment holes. Fine link watch chain. 5.5cm diameter.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: The case has some surface wear and very minor, hardly noticeable dents to the back commensurate with age, face appearing good and clean.
19TH CENTURY OAK EIGHT DAY LONG CASE CLOCK marked: T.O.S. Wilson, London, having broken swan neck pediment above arched aperture, flanked by reeded columns, the waist with strap work frieze, pointed arch cross banded door flanked by quarter pilasters, panelled base on tall bracket feet. Arched brass face, 20" x 14", having gilded spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring, particularly having sweep seconds hand, two train, eight day movement with four baluster columns, striking on one bell. Overall 2.33m.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: May be a marriage, case appears to have later additions, although appearing originally late Geogian, face movement probably Victorian, overall a little dry, the glazed door is cracked and will also need relocating, feet are later replacements. Has two weighs and a pendulum and also a key.
