A Persian runner, with red ground and six central medallions bordered by geometric and floral decorated bands. 460 cm long, 84 cm wide. CONDITION REPORT: Overall this runner is intact, no significant losses. It has been much used, is dirty and stained in places. The fringes to either end are very short or non-existent.
A GEORGE I WALNUT CABINET ON STAND CIRCA 1720 The doors opening to an adjustable shelved interior 91cm high, 135cm wide, 62cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use Some old chips and splits Some losses Moulding to one side of the top and an 'ear' to one leg detached but present Some old repairs Lock plate and escutcheon replaced No key present but lock open Shadow and old screw holes visible to the insides of the doors from where a slide runner to each is lacking One hinge slightly loose with a screw lacking Evidence of old worm Metal door stoppers to the inside of the doors are later - one is misshapen and unattached, the other is lacking its 'arm' The shelves and fixtures to the inside appear to be an old adaptation, cabinet likely had a different arrangement originally Doors do not close completely flush - the size of the gap that is left is approximately 0.5cm Please see images for a visual reference to condition.
