Provenance; The Dukes of Hamilton, Lennoxlove House, Haddington, East Lothian. Hamilton in 1946 and an extensive programme of redecoration was later initiated under aegis of John Fowler. It is thus probable that this lot was moved into Lennoxlove after 1946 and may have originally been at Hamilton Palace.
