SPORTS AUTOGRAPHS - FOOTBALLERS PAST AND PRESENT. An excellent collection of approximately 250 assorted autographs. Chiefly signed index cards, sent with an SAE by our dedicated autograph hunter to a whole host of football stars. Almost all are marked to verso with identification info. Some names: Nicky Ajose, Kevin Beattie, Marc Overmars, Reece James, John Radford, Michael Appleton, Ander Herrera, Jaap Stam, Sam Hewson, Paul Lake, Brian Little, Jimmy Nicholson, Gordon Cowans, Chris Casper, Chris Hughton, Sam McGinty, Dean Holdsworth, Archie Gemmill etc. Provenance: From the collection of Barry McDermott who started collecting autographs in 1976. Autograph hunting became a passion for Barry and he would send hundreds of letters every year coupled with meeting stars of sport and TV when they visited the Manchester area.

MOTTY Two shirts donated to John Motson. The first one one mounted (69cms x 60 cms) and donated to him on the occasion of the 1st Great North Run in June 1981 and signed by the Race Founder Brendan Foster and Race Winner Mike McLeod. The third shirt a more modern replica on a hard back was donated by Ronnie Radford with 14 signatures of the Hereford United team plus Manager Colin Addison that famously knocked out Newcastle United in the FA Cup in 1972/73. The shirts come from the private collection of John Motson. Generally good
