1968/69 FOOTBALL LEAGUE SEASON - EVERY TEAM AUTOGRAPH SETS. An incredible archive of signatures collected by a single dedicated vendor, comprising 98 pages bearing handwritten signatures, each page typically signed by each member of the squad for 97 teams from the English and Scottish Football League structure for seasons circa 1968-69. Examples of teams and individual signatures incldue Arsenal, Burnley, Chesterfield, Leeds (Billy Bremner), Liverpool (Ray Clemence, Ian St John), Manchester City (Mike Summerbee), Manchester United (Nobby Stiles, George Best, Bobby Charlton, Alex Stepney), Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham Forest, Northampton, Stoke, Sunderland, Tottenham (Terry Venables, Graeme Souness, Jimmy Greaves), Everton and many more. Includes a small selection of pages bearing facsimile signatures.
δ Norman Parkinson (1913-1990)The Queen's Trainer on Horse and Wife; The Duchess and Duke of Newcastle with Hounds Two unique gelatin silver prints, 1957 & 1954, each annotated in pencil verso in an unknown hand, each on gloss photographic paper, each with margins, sheets 383 x 305mm (15 x 12in) and 250 x 200mm (8 x 10in) (unframed) (2)The present artworks were shot by Parkinson for inclusion in Vogue Magazine. The first appeared in the April 1957 edition, accompanying the article 'Riding Clothes Lead a Double Life' in which The Queen's Trainer and his wife, Mrs Cecil Boyd-Rochfort, were featured. The second was commissioned by Vogue Magazine and Ponds Cold Cream advertising. Lady Mary Diana Montagu-Stewart-Wortley-Mackenzie is photographed walking alongside her husband, Henry Edward Hugh Pelham-Clinton Hope (The Ninth Duke of Newcastle) with their many hounds at Cortington, Wiltshire.
